Cognitive Neuroscience Services provides
comprehensive psychological services including specialization in evaluation and
rehabilitative services to individuals who have sustained injury or illness to the brain
or central nervous system.
Neuropsychological Testing diagnoses
dysfunction of the brain and central nervous system. Neuropsychological assessments have
increasingly become an integral part of many settings including medicine, education,
career development, rehabilitation, psychotherapy, and legal proceedings.
Acquiring a neurologically based deficit
causes a wide range of difficulties including any specific impairment or combination of
impairments in sensory, perception, tactile function, language and speech skills,
visuospatial skills, memory, emotional, motoric function and attention/concentration
skills.
Neurological impairments may cause practical
difficulties in handling money, understanding instruction, and /or successfully engaging
in activities with family, at work or in school.
